Interactive Workshop

Brunel Research in Enterprise, Sustainability and Ethics (BRESE), and Brunel Enterprise Centre (BEC) are offering an innovative workshop focusing on activating goodwill through ethical performance. The objectives of this highly interactive session are to provide SMEs with a deeper understanding of the financial and non-financial value of goodwill in their companies, to identify the ethical components of goodwill and to build goodwill through ethical performance.

WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO ACTIVATE GOODWILL IN YOUR BUSINESS?

Goodwill is a vital intangible asset in all businesses.

"Goodwill is part of a larger asset, the investment, for which management remains accountable" (Financial Reporting Standard 10 issued by the Accounting Standards Board)

For the SME sector, goodwill and reputation are vital to economic success in the long term.

WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES:

  1. to provide you with deeper understanding of the value of goodwill in your business
  2. to demonstrate how to recognise the key drivers of goodwill in your business
  3. to understand your ethical performance
  4. to introduce a framework to protect your goodwill by ethical performance
  5. to present you with a 10 point action plan to activate goodwill on Monday morning

PROGRAMME

The Workshop will start at 2pm on 28th February 2002 and will take place in the MBA building, Brunel University, Uxbridge, West London. It will consist of interactive sessions and exercises, focused on developing your practical skills in Activating Goodwill in your business. The Workshop will close at 7.15pm with a certificate awarding ceremony.
