CALL FOR ARTICLES

New England Journal of Entrepreneurship

Scope of the Journal

New England Journal of Entrepreneurship (NEJE), published twice a year by Sacred Heart University's College of Business, is an invaluable forum for the exchange of scholarly ideas, practices and policies in the field of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management.

NEJE has been selected for inclusion in ABI/INFORM Global and Research Editions, and in the 9th Edition of Cabell's Directory of Publishing Opportunities in Management.

The Journal is currently seeking original contributions (articles, book reviews, cases, research notes etc.) that have not been published, and are not under consideration elsewhere. The scope of the articles published in New England Journal of Entrepreneurship ranges from theoretical/conceptual to empirical research, with maximum relevance to practicing entrepreneurs. The journal appeals to a broad audience, so articles should be appropriate to both academics and practitioners.

Format

Please submit four typed copies of your article. On separate pages, include an abstract (100 words maximum) and a biographical sketch of the author(s). A title page should list the name(s) of the author(s) as well as their full address(es), phone and fax number(s). Papers are to be double-spaced with one-inch margins. References should be included on separate pages at the end of article. Articles should be no longer than 20 pages of text and 25 pages total, including abstract, text, tables or illustrations, notes, and works cited. Please consult the latest APA style guidelines for all formatting details.

Copyright

The copyright of published articles will belong to the publishers of New England Journal of Entrepreneurship. Authors will be granted permission to reprint or otherwise use portions of their articles published in the journal upon written request.

Review Process

All articles will be double blind refereed. Authors will receive reviewers' comments and the editors' publishing decision approximately 90 days after submission.

Submission

All prospective authors are required to include a $20 submission fee with each manuscript sent in for consideration, payable to "Sacred Heart University." The fee will be used to cover administrative costs and will also provide the author with a year's subscription to the journal.

Authors are encouraged to submit manuscripts for the Fall 2002 issue by May 31, 2002. Papers received after the due date will be considered for future issues of the journal.
