Theoretical and Empirical Advances in International Entrepreneurship


This annual conference will be held on 15th - 16th April 2002 at the Jubilee Campus, The University of Nottingham. It will highlight the links between high quality research and small firms and entrepreneurship development by attracting delegates from academia, the support community and government. Building upon its informal atmosphere, which promotes open debate and genuine exchange amongst delegates, the conference emphasises rigour and relevance in research. Principal themes for the 2002 conference are:-

Contributions, which address these issues, will focus upon the challenge of researching, leading, managing and supporting entrepreneurial and enterprising individuals and organisations. All papers must generate new insights, founded upon rigour and relevance within the chosen research paradigm. Papers adopting innovative methodologies and perspectives will be particularly welcome.

The conference fee for this two day residential conference includes a subscription to volume 9 of the Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship Development. A reduced rate is available for students.

Abstracts (not exceeding 1000 words) should be submitted for evaluation by 5th October 2001 and should state research objectives, research questions, research methodology, findings and principal outcomes. Authors of accepted papers will be notified by 2nd November 2001.

Accepted final papers (not exceeding 5000 words) must be submitted by 22nd February 2002 to be included in the conference proceedings.
